At Help USA
For decades, ATW has remained committed to running its award-winning programs while arts funding has dwindled by relying on people power. In our impressive 31st year, we are looking for professional, mature, and fully vaccinated adults to share their skills and their compassion, and mentor precious children at Help USA, a temporary housing facility in the Bronx during a one evening Children's Creative Class and Holiday Celebration. Reconnect to the essence of the holiday season - send these children home with a hot, nutritious meal for their families and brand new gifts.
Be a Program Member and Mentor at ATW’s non-profit programs:
- Apply to be a part of our volunteer team by filling out this short application.
- Learn more about ATW’s programs, including its year-end Children’s program, at a Virtual Information and Interview Session on Saturday, November 6 from 2:00-4:30pm, Saturday, November 20 from 2:00-4:30pm or Tuesday, November 30 from 6:00-8:30pm.
Attend a two part mandatory virtual training series with our Artistic Director Thurman E. Scott on Wednesday December 1 from 6:30-9:00pm and Saturday, December 4 from 5:00-7:30pm. These training sessions will provide you with tools to tap into your creative potential and help you to better articulate your thoughts and ideas. You will gain an understanding of the ideas and concepts behind BNW and will learn the skills required to work with the children in our program.
