Creativity, COVID-19 and the Cry for Justice and Change

29Jul2020

From 7:00pm until 9:00pm

Join ATW for an inspiring interactive session led by Artistic Director and Founder Thurman E. Scott. Learn how creative insights and simple exercises can help you change your energy and see the many possibilities that exist in this time of growing awareness.

Creativity is a powerful force and tool in times of great change. As America continues to respond to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are also coming together and crying out for racial justice and change. The horrific death of George Floyd has inflamed America and the world to ask pertinent questions about racial injustices and call for police reform. These events have opened up the country’s awareness and have led to deep, honest discussions and an excitement for change. The passion of America has been lit!

Join ATW for an inspiring lecture led by Artistic Director and Founder Thurman E. Scott where he will share new insights about racial discrimination and how to create change in America.

With the pandemic still in full force, he will also teach creative insights and simple exercises that will help you change the energy of fear and uncertainty caused by Covid-19 and see the many possibilities that exist.

This interactive session will include a lecture, creative exercises and an open dialog where you’ll have the opportunity to ask a master theatre artist questions about today’s issues, and how you can use these creative techniques and insights in your own daily life.
