Internship Photos and Testimonials

ATW’s staff members and volunteers have extensive professional experience and serve as mentors who train and support interns to meet their professional and creative goals. Here are what some past interns have said about their experiences:

At this internship they looked at not only your qualities, but also your personality.

Serap Can from Belgium worked with ATW’s Treasurer, learning the basics of grant writing necessary for her focus of nonprofit management

ATW gave me direction in my career. I am currently working at Amway Korea… If I did not learn HR at ATW, this could not happen.

HyeJoon Lim of South Korea

[Before] I was always apologetic with my body language which didn’t exude confidence or command authority… It was an emotional class which made me realize I was holding myself back from the world because of this limiting habit I’d nursed over the years.

Eugenia Boateng, currently studying law in her native Ghana, wrote about some of the acting classes she took during her internship with ATW

Miranda Alicea, who is on the autism spectrum, got a paying job as a theatre usher after completing a four-year internship program. Interns also participate in all of ATW’s community outreach programs.

Working with the dedicated mentors and BNW children from various backgrounds was an inspiration for me.
